honeymoons have you done because it sounded like you know you were comparing notes on the different anyways i mean third one was awful yeah no yeah uh it is a honeymoon period and it feels nice to go back to pound for pound powerhouse and we haven't done it for a while of course and yes let's pick out some of the best value players around at the moment um i mean some players getting very expensive but some still very cheap and you know it's nice to look out for those um we'll go to a listener nomination first um and for those who don't know actually this is the best value player um typically it's like players that have been released recently but obviously every player is new at this point so It can be anyone.
And yes, they tend to offer, the idea is they offer good value.
So Kurt here going for Inaki Williams as the year-on-year pound-for-pound powerhouse starter striker.
For at least the last five years or so, he's been unbelievable value.
This year, even more.
He's fast.
He has both pace play styles, lengthy, solid shooting.
He's got finesse base, and somehow his low-driven shots are great too.
He's four-star skills and good enough strength.
Worth it for 2.5kg. and yeah we had quite a few nominations in as you'd expect so thanks for sending those in I'd say that the NWSL was a bit of a theme in these and I think that's definitely a good shout maybe someone will mention an NWSL player but Brams let's come to you who are you going to be nominating
Well, there could be any number of suggestions here.
I've played with lots of cards I've liked.
That LaCroix, whatever, Maxence, what's-his-face from the season pass is probably the obvious choice because he's going to be everywhere and he seems quite effective.
I'm going to go for one that's actually probably going to be...
It's going to not seem great value by the time this comes out.
But Mohamed Salah, the Egyptian king, is probably about to go out of packs because he got a hat-trick at the weekend.
And so he's likely to be in Team of the Week.
But his gold card was about 18k a couple of days ago.
It's even now only just over 20, which is, you know, if he was still at Liverpool, it would probably be like 10 times that.
Not only is he an order of magnitude cheaper, but they've allowed him to have Stryker on his card as a position.
rather than holding it back for specials so there he is he's just a really good starter sort of striker or winger I've been using him at striker alongside Ava Pajor he's got finesse plus which is not the play style you necessarily want but he does seem to score them I've been trying and he will whack in a few from outside the box I haven't worked out the angles but it's still worth trying he's got low driven base which and low driven seem very very strong he's even got game changer which is quite handy on his left foot because if he's cutting in he can kind of hit it either side uh and and he's got inventive so he can do some reasonable passing with it and he has technical and first touch as well and just generally it's been it's he's been really really good the pace he's sort of mid 80s but at this point that's fine So yeah, he's my guy.
I hope that he doesn't go up too much when he's out of packs, because it would be nice for people to still be able to use him, but I did buy a couple of extras, so actually I kind of do hope he goes up quite a bit.
Yeah, he'd be my choice.
