Like, what am I doing? Yesterday, I read for like two hours and I was like, wow, I should do this more often.
Like, what? Anyway, so all of these, this first one is audio because it's the beginning of the month, but all the rest of these are physical.
So I listened to She's a Doll by Barbara Truelove.
Oh, I remember you talking about that one.
Yes, I was very excited about this one.
So this is about a woman who gets murdered and her ghost is intent on revenge, but it's a little difficult because she's possessing an old antique doll.
I had seen a lot of people talking about this, so I was really excited for it.
It also has like some queer themes in it.
But once again, I was waiting for it to get weird.
Or to get scary.
And it was neither of those things.
I definitely liked it.
But it didn't blow me away.
And it was mostly just sad.
Like because this poor girl's intent on revenge and can't get it.
And it's just depressing.
I don't know.
yeah so i liked it but you know yeah my my hopes were too high and then i read he smiled last by john joseph ward this is about a group of bros who are backpacking through europe and then they get an invite to a secluded island for some like raging party and pretty soon one of the bros realizes that something is a little fishy and then it just goes bananas
haywire so
I actually got a copy of this from the author for my review.
It's already out.
But he asked me to review it.
I liked it a lot.
And it's short.
It's under 200 pages.
