The Future of Florida Fishing

Hello and welcome to another edition of Florida Sportsman Action Spotter Podcast.

I'm Captain Rick Riles.

Another hot one this week, although we've had a little dip caused by a lot by the rain showers, but we've had a little dip in the air temperature and I'm anxious to see what that's done to the fishing.

I know the water temperature here in Northeast Florida has stayed cool all summer, which is strange.

We've had a long standing thermocline come in here.

and keep us down, golly, some days 73, 74.

That's not summertime temperatures.

But here's what we're going to do this evening.

We're going to take a trip around the state of Florida, check in with every inlet, find out what's going on, what's biting.

how they're catching them, what the bait situation is.

A few guys so far have reported mullet on the move.

Now, that strikes me as a little strange, as it generally takes a little northeaster to get them going.

But we will start with a quick stop in Nassar, Costa Rica.

Got to get the billfish and tuna news from there.

Then we'll head up to Northeast Florida, work our way all the way down the East Coast through Alamorada up the West Coast and out the Panhandle until we know where every fish in Florida is and where you can go find them.
