We're seeing it right now.

Here in Florida, between I-95 and I-75, prices are falling dramatically.

Florida always tends to be very volatile.

It went up a lot, and now it's going down pretty rapidly.

but the clouds start to break up we see some sunshine the humidity is not going to be a complete goner for your sunday plans but at least the bulk of the daytime hours will be spent dry that goes for today as well future trackers showing by 11 o'clock most of the rainfall is still outside of our area that really pushes in after midnight intensifies by five o'clock in the morning we have some heavy hitting downpours brighter tones on your screen that's those pockets of heavy rain focused in the northwest suburbs Some of them pushing into interior South Jersey.

There's a flood watch that's been posted for I-95 and surrounding communities.

That just means that rain coming down in a hurry.

Well, it might run off.

They could be anywhere between one to two inches per hour.

So that's a lot of rainfall in a short window of time.

Again, after 11 o'clock, really taking over I-95.

anywhere between two o'clock in the morning seven o'clock in the morning these heavy hitting downpours denoted by the brighter tones on your screen even a few rumbles of thunder think if you're an early riser during the work week and you try to sleep in tomorrow well it might have you waking up a little bit especially if you hear that rumble of thunder the little ones the The pets, they're going to be alert tomorrow morning.

But all that energy does move to the north along the east coast.

And really by Saturday afternoon, it's lifting into the mid-Atlantic, whether it's going to be the eastern foothills of the Appalachian Range or the I-95 corridor from Richmond to the nation's capital.

Then Saturday night into Sunday morning, there's a convergent zone right over the tri-state area and a really potent line of storms that moves up and down I-95 in the northeast by Sunday midday, clearing out hopefully by Sunday evening and then improving conditions for next week.

We begin over near the Lincoln Tunnel, where we had an earlier accident cleared going across the span if you're heading into the city right now.

Let's go up toward the Bronx on I-95 going southbound.

We have an accident blocking the right lane between the Harlem River Drive and going across the span of the GWB heading over toward the Manhattan side.

In the Clearview Expressway going southbound, we have an accident blocking two lanes going across the span of the Throgs Neck Bridge as you're heading over into Queens.

Years have passed and the race only sped up.

That is like putting a Reduce Speed School Zone sign on I-95 during rush hour.

It helps, it raises awareness, but it will not stop the 18-wheeler.

And this is not just a Washington, D.C. problem while the rest of the country waits.

In the military, I was a military police company commander at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, where my company was in charge of the law enforcement mission there at Fort Bragg, which is a very interesting place to be.

If you don't know anything about Fort Bragg, North Carolina, it is literally the middle point of I-95 that runs from Miami, Florida to New York.

So there's a ton of drugs there.

that come through that area.

Well, the Twin Towers were visible every time we drove over our little bridge onto Roosevelt Island, so they stuck up above everything.

In fact, if you were coming up Route 95, they were the first thing you saw.

So they weren't that far away.
