And now Matt has details of free food available in and around Cambridge, and the information about what's available and where to get it, that comes from the Olio app, which exists so that people's or businesses' surplus food doesn't go to waste.

And looking at Olio for Cambridge today, we can see that Suzanne on Rustat Road, which is opposite the train station, she has a selection of bread items to give away.

Two six-packs of soft rolls, one six-pack of large soft rolls, two sourdough white ciabattas.

Three giraffe baguettes, a French stone-baked white baton, and two Oreo donuts, all available for collection.

They've got a Hovis Farmhouse Batch loaf, two Scotch rolls, baguettes and bloomers, and that's about it, really.

There was someone who was giving away their own home-cooked food a few days ago, some medium hot peri peri chicken, simply because they couldn't handle eating it during this current heatwave.

And during the weekdays on Olio, you tend to see a lot more salads, a lot more sandwiches, filled rolls, fruit, that sort of thing.

Okay, and don't forget also the Too Good To Go app, and that has unsold food from restaurants, cafes, and shops.

Uh, you do have to buy it, but it's often less than half price, and otherwise it would be binned at the end of the day's trading.

Shops, restaurants, cafes, hotels, big ones, small ones, middle-sized ones, all of them.
Lovely idea.
