What's up, everybody? My name is Kim Richwine, and I'm back with another more traditional episode of Flat Walk Please podcast.

After a couple of nontraditional episodes where we've sat down this summer with the owners of NextGen Equine and Maiden Holdings, we're doing a traditional get-to-know-you interview episode today with none other than the Dotson Brothers.

The Dotson Brothers Farm was established in 1889, and the youngest installments of the Dotson family that are competing out there today are Jesse Dotson III and Jaron Dotson.

These two brothers sat down with me for an interview that I thoroughly enjoyed, not only learning about their family history and the influence of Black exhibitors within the walking horse industry, But they actually told me about how their family work ethic has integrated not only into their lives, but in how they show, how they compete, how they carry themselves throughout the breed.

And I was so excited to learn more about that.

They were the most gracious to sit down with me last year.

This is a published episode that is well beyond when we actually sat down.
