There are all kinds of people that we encounter every day.
Some good, some bad.
Have you ever heard the saying, you gotta look out for number one?
You gotta look out for number one.

What is that supposed to mean?
Most of the time when people say that, they're telling you to put yourself first, before God and other people.
It's like they're saying, I am the most important person on the planet, and I should do what makes me happy, no matter how it affects other people.
The Bible teaches us in Romans chapter 12 verse 2, Don't copy the behavior of this world, but let God transform you by changing the way you think.
Sounds like Christians are supposed to think the way God thinks instead of the way everyone else thinks.
That's right.
We're different, in a good way.
Wow! Instead of conforming to the way everyone else thinks, to put ourselves first, we are supposed to change the way we think by learning God's Word.

So how are we supposed to think differently from other people?
Well, first of all, Jesus said in Matthew 22, verse 37, You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.
This is the first and greatest commandment.
