Like I said, Jermaine Eluemunor and Andrew Thomas both sidelined this week at practice.

But focusing on Andrew Thomas, I think this is something to begin to get worried about, right? Because Andrew Thomas hasn't really been his normal self over the first few weeks of the season, I feel like.

I mean, we've seen flashes of him being the elite, All-Pro level pass protector that we know him to be.

But we've also seen flashes of him laboring in pain, unable to get his kick slide out to the f- the, the right depth and struggling to hold in pass protection.

There's been a little bit more pressure coming off of the blind side this season than we're used to from Andrew Thomas playing for the New York Giants.

The groin injury is clearly affecting the way that he's playing on the football field.

Is this a, a moment where the Giants sit back and say, "Okay, Andrew Thomas's long-term health for the full season is way too important to risk a game versus the Saints.

Do we maybe try to rest him?" I'm not sure if that's the right move, but I do think there's an argument for it.

Theoretically, they could give Andrew Thomas about four weeks of rest to fully recover from this injury, get this groin right, and then come out of the bye week when the Giants have their tougher stretch of the schedule, and then get right.

So he could sit versus the Saints, he could sit versus the Texans, he could sit during the bye week, and then he could play the following week versus the Philadelphia Eagles.

But then there's also the argument of if not Andrew Thomas, then who? Well, the backup left tackle, especially with Marcus Baugh potentially filling in at right tackle for Jermaine Eluemunor, would most likely be JC Davis, the sixth-round rookie out of Illinois.

And if Jermaine Eluemunor was healthy, maybe this is a stronger conversation for making a change.

You could have Marcus Baugh start at right tackle, or you could have Marcus Baugh go in at left tackle since he did that a couple weeks last season.

But because Jermaine Eluemunor is also injured, you kind of lose the opportunity to take this rest for Andrew Thomas if you want it.
