And so when I read Topeka School, I actually had no idea that that it would be about these things that are so infinitely interesting to me and fertile and things that I explore in my own work as well.

And was there a reason you picked it up? Like, were you already familiar with his work? Or was it a recommendation from someone? Or do you remember why you reached for it?
