PART 2 of my conversation with Violet (@imissviolet) goes deeper, into politics, protest culture, trans survival, sexuality, confidence, and what it actually means to build a livable future while…
have you found the current political climate in terms of you yourself identifying as someone who's trans? Yes.
devastating
yeah
uh yeah but i have hope because like obviously from working in protest groups like gen z are like tapped in Like, they go hard.
They will fight.
Like, I may not fight.
I might be too tired at this point.
I've been through a lot.
Like, I don't know if it came to
it.
The revolution did start, you know.
I'm pretty strong.
I could run for a while.
I'm serious.
You could scale a wall.
Definitely.
Like, for sure.
But I'm saying that, like, these younger groups that have, like, kind of popped up, fighting for what they believe to be right...
they go so hard and they are just like totally tapped in so i have i have big hope in the future i don't think that like i feel like calling calling like gen z and like you know like younger generations like like ipad kids is like so totally wrong because i've seen the complete flip side of that people that are totally tapped in that see injustice don't ignore it and are like actively like you know pursuing to do something about it and i i genuinely feel like we're kind of reaching a tipping point in society where I'm a bit worried because I fear that people won't know how to restructure afterwards.
But I genuinely feel like we're reaching such a tipping point all around the world, like geopolitically.
Yeah.
Genuinely.
Like something's got to change.
System doesn't work.
