BWB 011 - Teams to Target

The lead off question that I had for you was, who's a hot free agent that you have your eye on this weekend for FAB? I have a couple of guys.

I don't know how hot they are, but I have a couple of guys that I want to share with you, too.

But I'm going to turn the floor over to you.

Who are a couple of guys that you're interested in this

weekend? So I've got one hitter and one pitcher.

The hitter is Paul Goldschmidt.

In the deepest of leagues, he might be already taken.

But if you're in a shallow league right now or maybe even a mid-league, I think there's something there.

that you could actually use as your corner infielder.

He's been on fire as of late, batting over 300, and he's got more home runs now than he did all of last year.

He's crushing home runs, and he's crushing breaking pitches as well, something he didn't do last year.

He's hitting 347 against them.

He started off as a lefty platoon, but there really isn't anything different from last year.

He's just keeping it simple.

But there was a little thing, an article that I read, I wish I remembered who, but he's attacking pitches out.

He's getting out in front of pitches more.

So it's helping him pull the ball when he pulls it, get a little bit more power.

But he's been on fire as of late.

He's been steady for them, especially since Aaron Judge has been gone.

And if you need some help at the corner, he's going to play almost every day.

He's an excellent hitter.

He won't run like he used to, but he's an excellent hitter at the plate with some good patience.

I'd be adding him.

Just to piggyback off what you said, Dave, over the course of the last two weeks, it's June 18th, so I guess 18 days in June, he is hitting .382 with five home runs and 17 RBIs.

And to your point, he's got 11 home runs this year when last year he had 10.
