There are many, many people who don't know about, I like to say lymphatic disease.
I'm actually a certified lymphedema therapist, but it's so confusing in this world of lymphatic disease and lymphedema diagnosis.
So you can have chronic edema that affects your lymphatic system for many different ways.
Post-op breast cancer, I'm an oncology therapist as well, so I see a lot of breast cancer patients.
In October, we wear pink, kind of our theme, because ladies don't know, these individuals don't know that they have this disease that affects their lymphatic system that leads to this chronic swelling.
So we do a whole treatment called complete decongestive therapy, one-on-one, to manage that swelling.
It can be as minimal as you don't even notice it to the eye or as kind of obscene as that.
