The Astrology of September 28-October 4, 2026 / Venus Retrograde + Mars opposite Pluto

Although Venus will be retrograde until November 13th, the sun will go into Scorpio.

I believe it's October 23rd.

It's typically October 23rd every year.

Sometimes it's the 22nd, depending on where we're located.

We also have a pretty powerful, I'm not saying this lightly, but a powerful opposition between Mars and Pluto this week.

Mars is now in Leo as of yesterday.

The 27th and Mars-Pluto oppositions, an opposition in general.

I had this conversation with a client, you know, they're like, oh no, like an opposition.

Well, an opposition isn't inherently negative.

And even to talk about Mars opposite Pluto isn't inherently negative.

It just means that it's the energy of a full moon.

You see it, you feel it, it's in your face.

So with Mars, the planet of power and drive and motivation, Coming into opposition with Pluto, an evolutionary planet, a planet that, like Scorpio, gets into very deep emotional and psychological themes, we have a work cut out for us this week.

And so there might be some intensity, especially as we go into this weekend.

This Mars opposite Pluto, it is a ripple of eclipse energy.

It's not on the eclipse degrees, but it's in the same sign as the nodes.

So this could be a week for some people, especially if you are Mars ruled or if Mars is a major player in your astrology, it could be a week of turning points.

Or the seeds that were planted in August, at the time of the solar eclipse on August 10th, no, 12th, are really beginning to reveal themselves.

And Pluto talks about non-negotiable transformation.

It just does.

So there might be this push, we have to, to make some sort of inner change, some sort of external change, and how we take power, how we take control, how we assert ourselves, our relationship with desire, all these Mars themes.

And then finally, we also have Mercury going to Scorpio.

So, you know, before I jump too far in, just to reintroduce myself, my name is Katie Sweetman, and I'm an astrologer and psychic medium located here in the Rolling Hills of Central Maryland.

Every week we gather live to look at the astrology.

You hear me say it every week, the astrology is 50%.
