Because, uh, in my preparation of reading about marriages, uh, did you know that the Gold Coast is known as the capital of Queensland for divorce? Wow.

It's a serious topic, [laughs] if you can sense what I mean, and, you know, marriages are under attack.

He wants to tear down what God has a vision for of, of healthy relationship when it comes to marriage.

And, and sadly, statistically, even within the Church and through the secular nationally, our statistics are 50% of marriages end in divorce across Australia.

So what God has designed and has a vision for, the enemy has a plan to try and tear that down.

And Dallas Willard says this about discipleship in the Church: "Churches can be compared to hospitals, with people at various stages of recovery and progress towards health.

Others will be taking their first wobbly steps after a lengthy time in the bed, being bedridden.

Others will be showing the flush of health and a steady strength as they get ready to resume their ordinary life, and there will be old warriors with many battle scars and many victories.


I'm not a professional psychologist or counselor, but I just know that God has placed something on my heart to bring to you today, to us today, as we're all on this journey, this vision that God has for us in our singleness and in our married lives.
