Okay, so now that that's out of the way, let's just rave about this film that we've been talking about.
I'm going to fanboy, fan everything.
But I'm also going to look at this through a fan.
Did I get everything I wanted? Do I genuinely think outside of it being Team Avatar, so it's automatically a 10 out of 10? What do I think of this in terms of what it adds to the world? What do I think of it in terms of just a film as an art form, with it being animation? And...
Yeah, just review this film both from a critical and fans point of view, merged into one, as I like to try to do.
That's why I wanted to be sure, especially with this, because Avatar is my favorite thing ever, I knew I would fanboy the first time.
So even watching it as a leak and getting spoiled on certain things beforehand, I still fanboyed a lot.
And I wanted to get a clear mind and a clear... idea of what I truly think of this and how I think of it as a film.
That's why I waited a full month.
It's been like a full month or so since the leaks happened.
I've watched it multiple times, three times all the way through, and I'll watch clips multiple times, even more than that.
So now I really felt confident in me to deliver a honest and reflective review while also fanboying about things that of course are okay to fanboy about because that's why we're here.
We love Avatar.
So overall thoughts.
I love this movie.
I mean, no doubt about it.
Obviously, I knew I was going to most likely really like it, but I wanted to.
I was afraid that we might be disappointed just because this is something a team avatar film is something that we are as adults.
It's something we've been discussing since the Korra days when we saw them in their 40s.
We wanted to see them.
We're like, what happened to them in their prime? Like their twenties.
That's what we want to see.
And we got that.
And I think what this film did has added a lot to the world, added a lot of information.
But my first point as someone who truly loves Aang's character and kind of relates to Aang in certain aspects, this story is a blessing to Aang's character because A character who is already defined so well by everything we've seen him in.
