Appa

I don't remember seeing the gliders in the trailer.

They had the Sky Bison were in the trailer with some little masky things where I'm like, that doesn't look quite as friendly as Appa.

Why do they have those things on? But yeah, I don't remember seeing the glider.

Yeah, I think this is going to be interesting to see what things we are going to feel like we're missing.

Like, that's The Clone Wars cartoon at its best, and this game is really selling those stories.

Yeah, Dee Bradley Baker, fun fact, also the voice of Appa on Avatar: The Last Airbender.

[laughs] Oh, really? Okay.

I think he does the voice of a lot of the sky bison on that cartoon, and of course, Appa, the namesake of my dog.

So I've always thought fondly of Dee Bradley Baker, and yeah, it's very cool that he's in this, that they got some of the actors from The Clone Wars.

And yeah, I like Roona.

I just as we revisited our Avatar theme, except we did it differently.

So the first time we went, Charlie was Aang, Lauren was Appa, and I was Uncle Iroh.

This time he was, is it Blue Demon? Does that make sense? Yeah.

The Blue Spirit? The Blue Spirit.

Um, there's a hilarious line.

Apparently it was biography about the day that, uh, a certain guest star was in the movie who I believe has been cut from all front of their broadcasts.

And he said that he was trying to, he was, he was trying to get his girlfriend at the time.

into acting, or maybe it was his wife, I don't know.

Oh, that just made me think of Appa.

It's a colorful biopunk adventure of found family and a group of mutants known as symbiotes and their beloved flying beast known as a Kirin.

It's really like Avatar the Last Airbender vibes, like we're riding around on Appa, our magical symbiote.

guy bison and uh yeah um we're probably going to tell a light-hearted story um to pg-13 is my thought okay we can talk about that too um but yeah the references for this would be like treasure planet kipo in the age of wonder beasts um uh any yeah anything anything with animals and a little a little weirdness and a lot of color Cool.

And also we can make the world our own.

That's news to me, seeing adult Aang.

In his prime, still with Appa.

Has Momo there, but they two haven't changed, not a bit.

Aang going back to the air temple and actually doing some stuff that were kind of absent in the original show.

And he's not angry in the slightest.

He is still as wise as he once was.

He can be naive, blinded by obvious sights of what some false promises are in this movie but he is still the wisest in my opinion and it's just I just think it's incredible to see him here and then just the beautiful animation of him riding on Appa going back to Republic City which was a new establishment for me and to see Katara there a grown up Katara and they're in a relationship it's like this is alien they're supposed to be maybe thinking about getting together maybe they have feelings for each other not that they're in a relationship I was thinking, okay, is she going to be pregnant here? No, no, no.

We're not there yet.

Like, if he was his own species, he's the last of his kind.

He's essentially what Appa is as well.

And then to go through the trials and tribulations of the hardships he went through with losing Appa, of being chased by this kid, Zuko, for reasons that are beyond his control.

For no reason at all.

And then as a losing lot back in the fight he had to overcome in Ba Sing Se and then nearly being killed.

the only other time he, he made me get, like, Aang gave me goosebumps.

When Appa was taken? When

Just, yeah, I got to Ba Sing Se.

Just the episode, uh, after Appa got stolen.

It just, that's whenever I had to check out, 'cause...

And Aang was just being a, a little whine bag the whole time.

There's, like, he's got no redeemable qualities.
