DFAW #291: Must Have Own Forklift

But I have a would you rather.

It's not really a would you rather.

It's sort of more of a hypothetical scenario.

We talked about how important drink service is to us in the last episode.

And we've also said previously how much of a detriment it is to go to a casino where the drinks are not comped.

Like Maryland.

Yeah.

How much daily free play would you need to make up for having no free drinks at the casino? Like if all of Atlantic City just banned free drinks, but then your favorite casino bally's was like, we'll make this up to you by giving you $100 a day every time you come in and free play.

Would you make that trade or no?

Okay, interesting.

So there's two worlds.

One is the status quo, and one is there's no more free drinks at the casino, but I get $100 in free play every day.

Right.

There's

your would you rather.

Would you rather just keep everything the same? That's a good question, I think.

Because surely you're not getting $100 in value.

No, the obvious answer, if I want to look at this mathematically, yeah, of course you take the $100 of free play and you buy your drinks and it's fine.

Frankly, it would probably be better for me along a lot of axes if I did that.

Because one, I wouldn't be just idiotically getting more drinks that I don't even want just because they're free, which frankly, I probably do half the time.

Absolutely.

Same.

Even though it's to my detriment.

Two, like I'd probably try to get like somewhat higher quality stuff or like something that I actually want instead of just like...

Coarselite.
