Emer ConroyGuestMatt RobertsGuestHe is praying in the chapel.
It's super moody in there.
It's like thundering outside.
I thought that Seamus did such a good job with this opening scene.
So basically, he feels like God is judging him and how he's handled the family since his father's death.
He's given everything asked of him, his body, his conscience, and his sister.

He questions whether the lesson that love means nothing unless a man draws blood to prove it came from God or from his father.
So he's really wrestling with a bunch of internal thoughts like he's just, yeah, he's feeling bad about how everything's going and, of course, with the battle coming like I'm sure that, you know, feelings are heightened right now and especially because he can't fight in it.
And so I think he just feels pretty helpless so his prayer kind of becomes unbearable.
an accusation against his father.
He asks, you know, whether he's listening.
It says that he left behind a wreck of a name, one that has killed more of their family than any sword.
He said his father shaped him in his own likeness, but never loved without measuring the cost.
It's like, wow.
He slowly kneels before the candle and then also asks forgiveness for what he will still do and blows it out.
