Good morning.
Welcome back to Driving Theology.
My name is Mike and it is a miserable, rainy, I'm gonna just say month because it's been crazy.
We're almost having another rainy season here in Japan.
Um, It's hard to say exactly what's causing it, but I have a feeling it has to do with the Super El Nino going on this year.
And it's made the weather cooler than usual, which is nice.
But it's been so rainy.
It's just so wet.
We've had a lot of flooding in Japan in different places.
I live...
in a bit of an elevated area so that's not a problem for us but what does become a problem is driving and I don't know what I'm going to find today because we had a pretty big downpour yesterday and it's not always about if it rains where you're at but if it rains upstream from where you're at and it has been raining upstream and stuff has been pouring into The rivers, and the rivers are really, oh, that river's really high.
I'd say that river right there I just passed over is a meter higher than normal, possibly.
And I've got probably three rivers I have to cross, two of them the largest in the prefecture.
I would say it's the two largest rivers in the prefecture.
I'm not sure about that, but I think that's the case.
Sorry, I just hit my mic.
Sorry about that.
So, yeah, could be interesting today.
We'll just see what happens.
But it's just sprinkling now.
It's not raining too hard.
We'll keep our running lights on today just for a little extra caution.
And I think we left, we left just a tad bit earlier than usual.
Not much earlier.
Anyway, that's what's going on here in Japan.
