Um, and the first single from that album came out this past week, and it's called On Wires, and it's good.
It's, like, totally...
Maybe not totally unlike, but, uh, my fiancée, Tara, was saying that it was not what she ex- was expecting at all from this, uh, this single, just because there's, like, a lot of guitars and stuff, and it's, it's a lot more...
I don't know.
It's not like a rock song, but it is rockier, uh, than, than a lot of her songs.
And honestly, like, I, I'm, I'm fully here for it.
I think her last album, which was technically The Loneliest Time B-Sides, uh, called The Loveliest Time, but it wasn't, wasn't B-sides.
It was just kind of a companion album.
And the, the new album coming out in September is called Day and Night, and I believe this is also a double album, so, uh, that's, that's fun.
I, I am a huge proponent of her B-side albums.
I think they're great.
The Dedicated B-Sides rule.
The Emotion B-Sides rule.
Uh, they're, they're all, they're all, like, really great.
Uh, there's a lot of great songs on there.
Uh, so highly suggest that you check those out.
If you like Carly Rae and haven't listened to the B-sides, I really, really think you should.
In my opinion, better than the A-sides in some respects.
Just, like, so much fun.
Uh, and, and the same goes for, for Loveliest Time, uh, which was, again, technically a B-sides, but not really.
Uh, just in that she was doing so much experimenting on that album with the types of music she was using and the types of production she was using.
There was, like, some light, you know, drum and bass, like, amen drum break stuff going on in, in The Loveliest Time, and just a lot more kind of experimental stuff hap- Not that it's, like, experimental music, but it's, like, experimental for her happening on that album, and it was just, like, really, really great and it has me...
That, and, and the single, uh, On Wires really, really has me excited for, uh, Day and Night, uh, in September.
So, uh, that will be linked in the show notes.
