I'm closing this story, so you guys are actually going to give your thoughts first.
But we're opening with Karim Adhami moving to Barcelona for €22 million with €9 million in bonuses and a 35% sell-on clause that was not initially reported when I reacted to this transfer initially by Fabrizio Romano because he's not a very good journalist, I guess.
I don't know.
Maybe he got...
He got beat to that part of the scoop.
I'll tell you that.
I don't know.
But that definitely made me a little more concerned about this transfer because that is a very hefty percentage.
That's honestly, I think Dortmund will at least be expecting that to be worth more than the 9 billion euros in add-ons that are available here.
But what was your guys' initial reaction to this?
I mean, you're not going to be happy with the fee.
We kind of talked about this offline a little bit too.
Like, yeah, it sucks.
You're losing a player that, you know, offer very like unique element to the Stortman side for a very small fee and the prospect of
the 35%, depending on
if and when they move them on.
I mean, we might profit nicely off of that, but that's kind of just in the nether right now.
We don't know.
Um, so I mean, there's that aspect of it, like you really think about it.
And you're just like, well, we waited a really long time, it seems or allowed this kind of to spiral to the situation where it's at where he has one year left on the contract.
According to the reports, at least there's not that many suitors, you're kind of pigeonholing yourself into a situation where I'm not going to say you have to accept any offer, but your negotiation room is definitely curtailed a little bit there.
I don't think Dortmund put themselves into a good situation with his contract as a whole.
I think that the player himself maneuvered in a way that put himself in this situation that gave him more power and leverage.
And, you know, I mean, it is what it is.
