I would argue this is Miami's best game of the year, even if our margin is actually, this is tied for our closest margin.
This is, to me, clearly Miami's actual best game, as I think the Chiefs are their hardest competition.
It got really rough early by just giving up a super quick touchdown, and you thought, oh boy, it's going to be bad from here.
They lost the game in like 10 individual plays, which if you want to be a pessimist, you can say that about most football games, but...
Like you can find those plays where it's like the big ones, but it was a lot of little things like procedure penalties, burning a timeout here and there.
Like it was a lot of those little things that just kind of added up throughout the game.
But considering how the game started, which was as bad as it can get, frankly, and factoring in Devon's injury, which we'll get to in the next topic, there was every reason for Miami to just fold it up, to just let it go.
Hey, Mahomes started the game, what, 10 of 10, 11 of 11, some just crazy percentage.
And it seemed like as the game went on, I think the Chiefs realized they were in a dogfight.
The camera kept cutting to the sideline of the Chiefs, and there wasn't a lot of joy going on.
We looked like we were maybe under... staffed or we didn't have the personnel i think that's fair that's a fair assessment we just didn't have as good of players as they had sure but they played a good effort and unlike previous games where the first halves were okay and then the second house what happened this is more consistent on both sides of the ball which means whatever halftime like adjustments we made translated to the field Every team adjusts at halftime.
