Dolphins and Sam LaPorta1:12 – 6:54

1:12

Let's talk about the Dolphins.

1:15

So I heard something that came through, I don't know if it was a podcast or it was highly reported on, so maybe I got it secondhand.

1:21

But they were talking to Sam Laporta.

1:23

Sam Laporta is a former Pro Bowl tight end that currently plays for Detroit.

1:27

And if you know anything about how Detroit does their business, they basically like a player, they extend them, and they don't extend you to let you go.

1:34

That's why I went with David Montgomery.

1:36

They extended J-Mo, they extended Goff, they extended Gibbs.

1:40

uh jack campbell and um oh my god i said uh semi pure oh my god i'm ruining his name penny soul it's like it's like same way paul a penny soul But the person they have not extended yet is Sam Laporta.

1:59

And Sam Laporta was very injured last year, I know, because he was on my fantasy team and it was devastating.

2:03

I actually drafted him as a rookie, one of the best moves I made all year, but last year he was very injured.

2:08

And so, so far this year he's been very good.

2:11

Jared Goff's been good, actually.

2:12

The offense has been pretty solid.

2:13

Defense has been absolutely terrible, which is kind of why they need more offense.

2:18

And Sam wants to get extended.

2:21

He sees everybody on the scene get extended.

2:22

He's like, hey, I'm putting the work in.

2:24

I was a pro ball as a rookie.

2:26

You know, I thought I was a cornerstone piece.

2:29

Where's my extension? And I don't know what he's being offered by Detroit.

2:33

I don't even know if Detroit is offering him currently.

2:35

They don't have a better tight end on their roster.

2:37

This is not like a, you know, our backup tight end is going to take your spot kind of thing.

2:43

I think they just...

2:44

And maybe they think the tight end position is not as valuable.
