All right, as a therapist, you know I'm fascinated by the stories we tell ourselves.

And then as a DJ, I'm fascinated by what happens when those stories disappear on the dance floor.

What I mean by that is I've watched people walk into a room carrying stress or grief or heartbreak, and they dance, they leave it there, and they walk out feeling like themselves again.

Her whole framework starts with one idea that is so simple and kind of funny, but I haven't stopped thinking about it.

Okay, so that fatigue that you feel, the anxiety or the sensation in your chest that you keep trying to push through or medicate away or drink away, what if that's not a malfunction? What if that's the most important information you have? Erica and I talk about why so many of us are exhausted, right? Why are we so tired? That's what I wanted to ask her.

I mean physically, like neurobiologically, and why community and movement might be the most underrated medicine there is.
