We used to have a little funding from another organization who, if you did a certain thing, you'd get a little bit of money, and they stopped doing that.
We're also looking into ways to support ourselves, doing some little fundraisers on our own.
That will be a two-fold thing, not only to get some money to help us proceed with what we want to do, but also get our name out there a little bit, too, so people are aware that there's someone there working for them.
And one of the things that people don't think about, everything costs us money.
So we're trying to find fundraisers and other means to be able to put out informational information to the communities and let everybody know about the things that are going on, what we're doing, what the mission is of the advocates, so that we can get that out there and help more people.
One thing about it, Deb, is you're a receiver with the Howard City of the Advocates and also the Commission on Aging and ACAP.
So you're in a unique position because not only are you giving the service locally, you're receiving it.
right stuff from yes which makes you a good person to go back to the group and say oh i come across this the other day yes you know which i think is is what makes this whole thing be a circle and not a it is yes
yes and then also so there's something that we come across that that we can give to the commission or another agency that would help them.
For instance, there's a group called the Care Patrol, and it helps people who have someone that needs to go into an assisted living facility find that facility.
I talked to them, passed it on to the commission, and within the first week, they said, I've referred several people to this organization.
We give back to them and say, hey, are you aware that this exists to help you out? Sure.
