2026 SEASON -DERBY PANTHER FOOTBALL - DERBY VS GODDARD EISENHOWER 9-4-26

This week's Equity Builders Player of the Week is Blade Clark.

Coach Brandon Clark talked a little bit about Blade, and I know Coach Weitrich will as well.

Well, yeah, it's kind of a tough one.

Congratulations, Blade.

Thank you, Equity Builders, for being our sponsor this year.

And I'll let Weitrich, you know, he's been seeing him the last couple weeks.

I'll put that hat on.

Great kid, 4.0 student in AP classes.

Couldn't say enough good things.

You know, we've been blessed with three great children.

Braxton that we covered earlier.

now blade, we got a younger daughter, uh, Braylon, who's an athlete as a sophomore, but, uh, blade has given us as parents, no problems.

He's a great kid.

Blade's never had a curfew, never been, uh, punished at home or anything like that.

I mean, he's your dream child at home.

So, uh, and just watching his work ethic and, and, and football and, uh, all that, I'm not going to talk about him being a quarterback, but love the kid to death.

And it's, it's been a blessing.

And, uh, This year, you know, you want these years to go slow.

You want to enjoy every moment, and I think we both are doing that.

Yeah, I know that wasn't comfortable for Coach Clark there to talk about his son, so I'll take over a little bit.

I mean, just from an outside perspective, I mean, obviously just echoing what he said, you won't find a student in the high school has anything bad to say about Blake Clark.

I mean, he's a phenomenal kid, fantastic.

Football-wise, he's continued to progress and progress, you know, going against us.

We go good on good.

His ability to throw the ball is exponentially better the last couple years, and this year he's really throwing the ball tremendously accurately.
