Coach Clark, offensively and special teams-wise, against Mays and Coach Weitrich, you did a phenomenal job stopping the Mays offense.
9:06
Yeah, well, thanks.
9:07
Good to see you guys here.
9:09
We go from a wet game last Friday to a wet week practice.
9:12
It seemed like every practice we were getting rained on, but it actually kind of made practice fun this week.
9:19
Going back to last week against Mays, special teams-wise, usually Mays is really good in special teams.
9:25
And, I mean, they are – like Coach DeVore did a phenomenal job of getting our kids ready because they have a lot of trickeration and – just, just things that you have to prepare for.

16 MINS LATER

25:19
We had a couple of guys go out in the maze game, and so what's the status of our team health?
10:03
Coach Weitrich, talk to us about the defense.
10:06
Yeah, hey, good to see you guys.
10:08
You know, what a fun night.
10:09
You know, big crowd.
10:11
Hopefully this weather stays away.
10:13
Yeah, going back to the campus game, special teams-wise, really happy with Tripp and how he kicked.
10:19
He did a good job.

9 MINS LATER

18:56
When you scheme up, do you scheme up what we can do against them or do you scheme up what they're doing as a rule and just kind of see what we can do against what they're doing?
12:02
So talk a little bit about both of those things and how it's changed the game since you've been head coach.
12:08
Yeah, definitely.
12:08
This is my 21st year, 24th year as coaching.
12:12
So I think I joined the coaching staff with Riddle and the eighth grade staff when I think you guys, you said 25 years.
12:19
So your second year as a radio broadcaster.
12:22
So a lot has changed.
12:24
You know, one thing we always tell our kids is, you know, when I first started coaching, kids could get away.

6 MINS LATER

18:02
So talk to us about that.
0:19
YOU WANT TO WALK US THROUGH SORT OF HOW YOU'RE ASSESSING THE LANDSCAPE OF DEFENSE AT THE MOMENT?
0:24
Yeah, absolutely.
0:25
Good morning, Alex.
0:26
Great to be back on the show.
0:28
So we view defense as much more than just a short-term trade on what's going on with the Iran war.
0:34
It's definitely a strategic part of our portfolio.
0:38
If you look at what's happened with Ukraine and Russia invading Ukraine in 2022, and you look at what's happening with the Iran war, It's pretty much depleted Western defense inventories at a time when the US really needs it the most.
3:01
You know, so then the natural question is, and you mentioned some of the names, so sort of a compound part of this, so maybe you can talk a little bit more about some of the names that you like, but why the kind of discrepancy from what seems like a pretty bullish thesis and maybe not so bullish a price action recently?
14:35
But now that you can do it in this ETF wrapper, just talk about what the ETF has done to the income space.
14:40
So I think it's very interesting.
14:42
So I've been in the ETF business for almost 20 years.
14:45
So I've been working on ETFs for a long time.
14:48
I've seen a lot of the evolution from the indexing world to, you know, I'll call that smart beta or alternative indexing to where we are in active.
14:56
This income bucket, I think is very interesting on several levels.
15:00
One, I think investors as a whole have become much more thoughtful about how that income comes to them.
19:11
Why don't you talk a little about the tax side of things and how that works for people on these?
0:00
Brandon Clark director of financial planning the Clark asset sorry Clark Group asset management is with us and I was saying earlier that cyber security was always so important I mean you have malware and then when we started to get into the wars right with Russia and Ukraine we started to worry even more about cyber security and now with AI it seems to be even more important you tell me
0:25
Yeah, you're spot on.
0:26
Good to see you, Nicole.
0:28
Great to be on the show.
0:29
And even today, we're seeing a rotation into a lot of cybersecurity names like CrowdStrike, like Palo Alto.
0:35
And the theme that we've been seeing so far the last few weeks is that cybersecurity remains one of the strongest secular growth growth themes in tech.
0:46
And the reason being is because artificial intelligence is really accelerating the need for cybersecurity.
4:43
But what about all these other names? Do you expect more M&A activity?
0:23
Walk us through that.
0:25
Absolutely.
0:25
Good morning, Sam.
0:26
Great to see you.
0:27
Great to be back on the show.
0:28
So, yeah, we definitely think it's more of a near-term reacceleration.
0:32
And the reason being is that it's mostly due to the energy spike and what's going on with Iran, which is hopefully starting to dissipate here.
4:12
What do you make of that disconnect between the tech story that you mentioned with the AMDs of the world and the more sort of consumer facing, more closely geared type companies to the economy?
0:33
What are you saying to your clients right now?
0:35
Yeah.
0:35
Good morning, Diane.
0:36
Good to see you.
0:37
Thanks for having me again.
0:39
Great question.
0:40
And I think putting things in context is really important.
4:22
What are you expecting?
3:09
What are you noticing about sector allocation, especially as we reach record after record in equity markets?
3:18
Right, so if we look at certain sectors that have performed really well year to date, of course technology is one of the best performers, but if you try to dial in more on sector performance since the Fed cut, and I was actually on the network about a month ago, a few days before the Fed decided to cut by 25 basis points, we mentioned that we were taking a barbell approach with technology and healthcare, and the three best performing sectors since then Our technology up about 8%, utilities up about 8% as well, and then healthcare up about 5%.
3:55
So a big reason why, let's start with maybe utilities.
3:59
So a big reason why utilities has seen such a momentum upwards, specifically in the past month, over the year, a lot of that's been due to the AI infrastructure and that story there.
4:09
Utility names like Vistra, Constellation Energy, very much supporting that AI narrative.
4:15
But if you also look at yields, of utility stocks.
4:19
With the Fed cutting rates, money market yields become much less attractive.
5:42
What do you need to see, you know, to see a shift from tactical to more strategic? Or is that just your take in general?
