"I love Hershey's Chocolate so much, I wrote a little poem about it!" In the history of this podcast, we have reviewed some of the biggest moments in wrestling history, but somehow, this one has not…
Well, before we get too excited, James, and before we talk about one of the most infamous moments in the history of all candy bars, we have to talk about what was going on in the world of wrestling at the time with the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
There's not a lot going on as important as, uh, Heidenreich eating a big-ass chocolate bar, but we can get kinda close.
From the Observer June 20th, 2005, Dean Shark Boy Rolle filed a lawsuit in federal court in Cincinnati against Dimension Films and Miramax Film Corporation for their movie, The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl in 3D.
He claimed in his lawsuit the movie threatens his future because Sharkboy in the movie isn't a tough guy that would lend himself to a wrestling character.
One would suspect with the kind of money behind a major movie the goal is more than likely to get a quiet settlement with a few bucks thrown his way.
Uh, Shark Boy, when filing the suit, said that, "If they can get away with this, what is the use of having a trademark?" I mean, hey, I, I don't disagree.
I think that's, and we, I think we, you know, this has come up a few times 'cause I think this lawsuit goes on for a, a good amount of time here.
I don't know how, uh, how much, you know, the Shark Boy in the movie would've killed his credibility as a wrestler, but, uh, you know, I think he's got something here.
Like, when I think about it, I think of, like, the little kid in the suit on space or whatever.
