I mean, when I started my businesses, multiple different businesses, at the beginning, it was all, I'm just going to do this on a spreadsheet.

Well, what about those business owners who don't even do their own books? They may get to the end of the year and say, oh, now I've got to go back 12 months and figure out what the heck happened this year.

How does that affect the way they view whether they're how profitable they actually are.

But any clients who thought they were making money, you do their books and then they realize, wow, I'm really not.
And so one of the things that I always explain to people is just because...
They meld together to make up the big picture, but they're two totally different things.
You know, use the example of, say, a rental, okay? And they are paying out the mortgage payment, right? So they're going to put the whole mortgage payment on the P&L, and that's not how that works.
And so if you are throwing all that stuff on the P&L thinking, okay, that's how it works, your bottom line is going to look way worse than you think, right? Just because there's money in the bank doesn't mean you've made a profit.
And just because there isn't money in the bank doesn't mean you had a loss.
