Three Prayer Themes: Thirst • Renewal • Strength SCRIPTURE — Psalm 63:1 (NIV) “You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek you; I thirst for you, my whole being longs for you…” By midday, life can begin to catch up with us. The morning has been busy, conversations have happened, responsibilities have accumulated, and perhaps you are already feeling that familiar inner tiredness. So now we stop. Jesus, we bring You not only our problems but our emptiness. Sometimes what we need most is not another answer, another achievement or another distraction. We simply need to come close to You. Your Word gives us permission to say, “My soul thirsts for You.” There is nothing weak about admitting that we need God. In fact, recognising our need can become the doorway into His presence. We pray for Australia, China, Hong Kong, Ghana, Nigeria and Rwanda. For those listening while working, travelling, caring for others or carrying unseen burdens, meet them right where they are. Holy Spirit, breathe fresh strength into tired hearts. Where faith feels dry, awaken desire for Jesus again. Where someone feels spiritually empty, draw them gently back to the living presence of God. Jesus, You have guided us through uncertainty; now we come to You simply because we need You. Let this midday moment become an oasis in the middle of the day. We do not have to pretend we are strong. We can come thirsty. And as we come, remind us that You are enough for this moment.
