For those of you who missed last week, don't worry, you can go back and check it out online.

But I wanted to get us back oriented on what Paul is really talking to us about in, actually, chapter 3.

And if I can just read verse 8 to you real quick, it says, Knowing Christ Jesus, my Lord.

In fact, in verse 10, which is a very famous verse, he says, I want to know Christ.

Have you ever sat down maybe in a day, you're trying to have some quiet time, you may be trying to spend some time with Jesus, and just the amount of distractions that come to your mind.

Have you ever been in that space? You're just sitting there and all of a sudden, squirrel, squirrel, squirrel, over here, squirrel, right? You know, there's these distractions that actually lead us into ways that are not focused on where God wants us to be, right? We sit down and we have these detractions, these things that pull us back.

The detractions pull us back away from from really focusing and investing our time.

And the rocket ship is a great example of really an effort where a ton of people are trying to orient themselves around this one concept.

And they put all this effort, the focused effort that they get into that space to try and get in there.

We're really trying to do almost the same thing, going from the earthly into the divine.

We're actually living in a physical plane, an earthly plane, but we're trying to cross this thin, invisible line, this thin, invisible line into the divine and spend time with Jesus.
