Should You Go Into The Radius...Too?

Let's get an updated view on the Steam frame.

Okay, so yeah, I was fully away last week, so I had pretty much no time with VR.

But since getting back the last couple of days, been jumping straight on it again.

Got a bit more rounded opinions at this point, I would say.

And honestly, it's still going to be my go-to for a good while.

Like I've said before, PC VR is my primary platform at this point, especially through SteamVR.

And the comfort of it, just this ease of use immediately makes it the top choice for me.

But I am becoming a bit more apparent of certain, maybe not rough edges, I don't think that's quite the right word, but a couple of things I'm like, oh, I wish I could do this.

The biggest one for me is virtual desktop at the moment.

I would, I do sort of miss being able to just browse like my PC using that.

Like I could on the quest for a year.

Yeah.

Um, there is virtual desktop on steam, but to my knowledge, it is not, um, particularly well suited for steam frame currently.

Yeah.

Um, so I would say, you know, I'm going to wait on that.

I believe, um, I believe the developers have said they're looking into that, but didn't get a dev kit there.

Um, That's, I guess, my biggest one at the moment.

I'll get into this more later, but I just remember finding that an issue when I was trying to see if I could get the Titanfall 2 VR mods working on Steam Frame.

And not standalone, just streaming it through the PC.

Yeah.

But I couldn't find a way to do that because I had to access my desktop.

Yeah.

And if you go into, it's sort of like a desktop mode, but it's the same as like Steam Deck's desktop mode.

It's like the internal Linux system.

Yeah.
