I mean, how many of you out there can actually say, I can fix a flat or I've had to fix a flat?

Can you figure it out? Can you give yourself the time to sit down and learn something new instead of just like outsourcing it or giving it to somebody else or saying, forget it?

I mean, I've been on ranches and had to sew buttons on my shirts because they all fall off, you know? And one thing that I do struggle with, and you usually have to do it for me, and that's how to tie a tie.

So I want to know, did knowing how to fix things teach previous generations something bigger than just practical skills?

Because when you were born in my generation, even the generation before me, people... had to rely, sure, on knowledge, but also common sense and your neighbor.
