Emile Heskey: 5-1 in Munich, Michael Owen’s Final & FA Cup Semi-Finals

So, M, what is your earliest memory of the FA Cup? The earliest memories of the FA Cup, obviously, you look at the giant killing and stuff like that, you see these goals and you see the smaller clubs beating the bigger ones, etc.

But my earliest memory was Gazza's free kick.

Was it Forrest? Tottenham Arsenal? Yeah.

Yes,

against Seaman.

Was it Tottenham? Rocket.

Oh, was it? Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Ah, that was 1990.

That was a ridiculous goal.

They're the ones that you kind of remember and that...

When you're growing up, they're the ones you get to see.

So the FA Cup becomes something special.

And it's one of the ones that you're watching there and you say, I want to do this.

I want to do what they're doing.

Yeah, it was just amazing to be sitting there and watching that.

Were you a Leicester fan? Liverpool? Yeah.

Growing up in Leicester, you were Leicester.

And I joined Leicester at nine.

So, and you know, at that time, centre of excellence, you get some free tickets, don't you? So you actually go down and watch the games, etc.

So it became a bit of a passion to be supporting both.

I think it's a

successful

time.

Leicester in the mid-90s.

I know everyone would, Leicester fans will talk about the team that won the league and the FA Cup, but in the 90s, you had it going, didn't you? Martin O'Neill was there.
