6:11
How, how did that come about?
6:13
Um, I'd...
6:15
There's several different facets of it.
6:16
So, um, they- I think they'd been watching me for a while.
6:19
Um, played, uh, there's a tournament called Keele.
6:21
At Keele University, used to have a tournament every year where all the team- a lot of the teams, Blackburn, uh, Liverpool, all, all there.
6:28
We went there as Leicester, obviously.

39 MINS LATER

45:08
Mm-hmm.
speaker_2HOST
27:15
Absolutely, yeah.
27:15
But I think with, with...
27:16
So going back to O'Reilly, th- which is, which is really difficult at times.
27:21
You're, you're judging him off as a left back, as a defender, and he's not a defender.
27:25
So one v one, he will do okay at times, but you come up against the wrong forward.
27:29
So you come up against a French side, uh, Doué, uh, and Dembele, uh, Olise, could be a long day.

15 MINS LATER

42:53
Oh, wow.
42:53
It was good.
21:16
Social media has definitely amplified it.
21:19
Uh, it's given everyone a background to just do whatever they want.
21:22
There's no, there's no, there's no comeback.
21:25
Um, when I, when I grew up, uh, if you wanted to say something, you were big enough and broad enough to do it, go and do it then.
21:36
And you did it.
21:36
And if someone smacked you, you got to accept that or you have a full on fight with them.
21:41
Now it's just, it's hiding.
22:56
And the train on the way in, especially when alcohol is
31:16
... halves of football England have ever played, and obviously you wrapped it off with a, with a, the third goal.
31:22
Yeah, look, I think when it comes to football like that, you, sometimes it just clicks, doesn't it? You just have a t- you have a time, uh, uh, going, going back as well, you, you look at the 5-1, it just clicks.
31:31
And that was one of those days as well where we, we were aggressive.
31:35
We really put it on them.
31:36
And, uh, it was a boyhood dream of mine watching the likes of Gary Lineker, who's from Leicester as well.
31:43
Watching the likes of one of my fa- favorite ever players in John Barnes.
31:46
Going to World Cups and, and doing really well and, and you, you, you really dream of emulating them.
32:53
Is, is that something that you're looking forward to watching?
55:23
I can see that because when we played with him, he was brilliant as a team player.
55:28
Unbelievable.
55:29
We played together in England in the 18s.
55:31
Obviously Michael's two years younger than me, so Michael would come up to us.
55:35
and it just clicked from straight away just clicked again it's a little bit different football obviously for forwards you have to run down the line you have to chase balls and all that and I grew up in an era and a club you have to work hard in Leicester if you don't do that you're not going to play so yeah I had that plus I was quick I was strong So it helped.
55:58
And then we just formed this partnership from there.
56:01
We went to the Euros.

17 MINS LATER

72:43
Tell us about this new football safety app, pal.
22:25
This was a general abuse of players towards officials, maybe parents on the sidelines as well.
22:32
We're having, uh, football matches up and down the country, uh, grassroots football matches, nines, tens being canceled because of what parents are doing-
22:40
Mm
22:40
... which is crazy.
2:37
Mm.
2:38
How do we get everyone singing on the sing- same, uh, hymn sheet? And how do you get everyone working for each other? At the end of the day, w- um, you know, it, titles and, and, and, um, medals are won by everyone singing from the same hymn sheet and everyone knuckling down and doing the dirty work sometimes, 'cause it's not gonna be easy.
2:58
It might've sem- seemed easy last season, but when the, when the chips are down, who's gonna stand up for each other?
6:53
Yeah.
6:53
So, uh, there are times where you know that you're gonna come alive, and it's, and it, and [chuckles] it's f- it's interesting one again, uh, I think Wayne spoke about, uh, the, the, the season where he scored over 30 goals, but he didn't enjoy the season because he didn't get to touch it.
7:07
He wasn't really involved in play.
13:04
getting talked about at that level as well so but he's incredible I think
13:09
Yeah, his numbers are great.
13:11
But not just that, his all-round play and his leadership as well to continue.
13:18
That's a much difficult thing to do, to continue to do that, season in, season out, to score the goals, different types of goals, dropping in, scoring long distance, scoring headers inside the six-yard box, scoring left foot, right foot.
13:30
You see a lot of players, they get... a certain sort of goals he's got a variety a wide variety of different goals and different finishes but then to go to different places and do it as well now obviously he's in he's in Germany doing it and then on the highest level when you're talking international football

7 MINS LATER

21:12
are you? Then you have to look to the 21s.
21:15
Yeah, the reality is you should be looking at your delapsing players like that.
21:18
You should be looking at them younger players and saying, are you ready to make that leap into the first team? You jumped quite early, didn't you? But I was playing 21s football and then it's like, then you kind of know that the next step is to, you train with them.
8:16
He was at Wickham.
8:17
He was at Wickham first.
8:19
Then came to us.
8:21
He still loved at Leicester.
8:22
Absolutely adored at Leicester for what he did.
8:25
And it's funny because it wasn't going great at first.
8:27
And then we went on a bit of a run towards the end of the season.
11:01
But that must have been like, you must have had to think twice then because Robbie Fowler and Michael
