So I am very, very excited that I'm going to be leading this episode as we are talking about a very, very new cozy crime show called Ben Adorma's Murder.
It's so new that as we record this at the beginning of September, last night was actually the last episode of the first series.
I know I spoke about Death Valley in the past, which is newish, but this is literally within the month that it's come out or within the two months.
is a i'm a big fan of it so i'm excited we're going to be talking about it um but as a synopsis uh it is um well this is the synopsis of the show ex-detective dennis crown leaves the uk to run a bar in benidorm when tourists are murdered he investigates with barmaid rosa who loves crime shows they solve cases while managing relations with the local police And this show is broadcast on Channel 5.
It was created by someone called Ian Jarvis, who I will talk about more in a moment in terms of what he's written and developed.
And it stars John Hanna as Dennis Crown, Carolina Bequa, I think, I hope I'm pronouncing that correctly, as Rosa Ortega.
And we have Brian Bovel as Archibald, who's a regular in Dennis's bar, who you might notice or recognise from one of the best sitcoms ever, Gimme, Gimme, Gimme.
I was hooked from, I obviously sent you a voice note, but I was hooked right from the cold open ending with, what was it? You're just a bunch of knobheads from Yorkshire who can't sing.
And by the end of viewing the first episode, I had texted my mum saying, you and dad have to watch this.
