Again, I didn't really watch much of it, but it did seem like there was way more appeals in this competition.

Maybe it's just like, we just heard more about it because there was less talking points, but I feel like the amount of times that I heard, oh yeah, there was an appeal and a score change.
I think it might've been, I haven't really actually thought through that, but I think also the hard part was even I don't know what some of the changes were.
And I think that got lost in translation sometimes, even from the spectator view, like people would be messaging me what happened to the leaderboard.
I'm like, I got no time and energy to describe to you what's going on right now.
Um, but even like, so the first event modal madness, it was the triple unders, the handstand hold and the Curtis peas.
And before the competition, I remember Anika and I had a conversation about this.
I'm pretty sure the way that they're scoring this, there's a very high probability that it could be a tie.
And so we actually asked that in the briefing and they said, huh, let's check on that.
And there ended up being a tie, which was started the cascade, I think, of changes.

And there are some appeals where they let them do something, which they every single briefing I've ever been in my life says that you can't appeal what happened with somebody else.

Was it did they say that beforehand that you were allowed to appeal what was going on in lanes next to you? No.
yeah i think it that the precedent that they s that they set after the fact it created a lot of the issues because it just it turned into all the teams watching all the other teams trying to find something and that's what i think honestly ended up being a lot of the drama

It seemed extra snippy as a result of that, and I was just curious if they actually came out beforehand and were like, oh, yeah, I guess you guys can do that now, or if it just sort of happened organically as the weekend went.
