One of the things that the Lord commanded Moses to do as they entered into the wilderness was to take a census.
Now it was to be a specific census, it was not a general census in the sense that they counted everybody.
No sir, only the males were counted, those who over the age of 20, those who were fit and ready to go to war.
Infants were not counted, children were not counted, women were not counted, and those unfit for war were exempted.
Only the men of war were to be numbered and deployed Because the season that Israel was entering into was a season of conflict.
And when you are entering into a season of conflict, you need to know how many fighting men you have.
He said when you have an army of 10,000 people and you engage an army of 20,000 that's coming against you, you want to rethink your strategy.
So in the same way, I believe that we are prophetically engaged entering into a season of war and God is once again counting the number of soldiers that we have in the church.
He's not looking at how many people come over a weekend in the Sunday services.
He's counting how many fighting men and women we have here who are ready for battle.
How many have been trained? How many are ready to be deployed? Those are the questions that we need to be asking today.
It was John Piper who said, until we believe that life is a war, we will not know what prayer is for.
And he interviewed a man called Steve Boyles, the man who had saw visions of heaven for 21 days while he was in a coma.
And he said that the Lord told him that these horses were being prepared for war that would happen very soon.
And these war horses were created and bred for one purpose and one purpose only, for conflict.
And Steve asked the Lord, what would happen to these horses after the battle? And the Lord said they would be given to those who served him.
I want to tell you this, that there is a battle that is coming and all of heaven is being prepared right now for this great end time battle.
