**Is Matas Buzelis’ third-year leap already in question after ONE game? Not so fast — but Chicago absolutely needs to see more.** On today’s **Chicago Bulls Central**…
Matas Bouzelis.
You know, I've seen a lot of overreactions after the Bulls' first preseason game, and this is to be expected.
I've been in this Bulls community for my whole entire life, and I know how Bulls fans think and operate.
And there's always a large chunk of Bulls fans that overreact to everything negative and are slow to react to anything that could be a positive.
Now, for the side of this that's in realism, the Bulls didn't give you much to be positive about after that blowout loss that they suffered.
in opening night, so I can't really be too mad at anybody because of that.
But I will say this.
Let's just calm down.
There's still a lot of season left to be played, and one game doesn't determine the whole way your season is going to go.
New head coach, so many new members of the roster, new direction, all this type of stuff, and development being the focus.
So, you know, yes, there was enough to leave a bad taste in Bulls fans' mouth, and that's no problem with that.
Hell, you see your team lose by 40-something points.
That's not just rebuilding.
That's not just, you know, the hurdles of a young team.
There's a lot more going on when you lose by that.
But if you look at the first, like, three days of this season in the NBA so far, there have been a lot of really big, lopsided wins around the league.
Now, that doesn't excuse the Bulls in what they need to do, but I'm just saying calm down a little bit.
Let's not freak out.
But Modest Boozellas' stat line opening night, 17 points, six rebounds and two blocks and that doesn't sound like a terrible stat line at all that actually sounds like a pretty solid stat line but then you look at it two of eight shooting over four from three that's where Bulls fans start getting nervous at it understandably so here's the twist 13 of 16 from the free throw line now I'm not going to try to make anything a positive but I will say this Any scorer in the league, right, and that's what Madis is aiming to be and what the Bulls are trying to develop him into.
Any scorer in this league, if your shot's not falling, you can do one of two things.
You can turn into a facilitator for your team and try to get your other teammates involved, or you can push the issue and try to get to the free throw line.
So if you're trying to pull anything positive from this game for Madis Muzelis is that he recognized the shot wasn't falling.
And he got to the free throw line and went 13 of 16 from the free throw line.
So that's good.
