Do you find that writing is tricky when you're also having to do marketing, or is it actually really stimulating 'cause you're out going to different places?

I always kinda say to myself that, like, any time I talk about writing in a public forum, that's, like, the spiritual transaction that takes place is, like, now that's gonna be three days of writing that I won't be able to do.

Like, it always takes a couple of days to kind of get back to the grind for me if I've, like, gone and talked about it somewhere.

Tell me what people have been saying when you've been, um, talking to them about the book.

Have people had a lot of, like, personal reflections? Where have they kind of seen themselves in it?

I've had a lot of younger women readers who've seen themselves in the character Joey.

I've had fewer male writers volunteer that they see themself in, in the male character, Chuck.

I did have my first woman reader say that she sees herself as Chuck in one of [laughs] it-

I suppose what I was kind of hoping for was that people would see different parts of themselves reflected in, in different parts of either character.

Like, you know, there's, like, some nice things that the characters do, and some of it is gonna be a bit sobering.

Yeah, it, it, yeah, it's just been... it's, it's been really nice, and it's b- it's really nice when people, people seem to really like different bits as well.
