Um, now, uh, We're finishing, we're wrapping up our summer series on the sermon series that was entitled My Weird and Wonderful Bible.

And last week, most preachers across our campuses made a little warning about next Sunday, we have a mature subject sermon.

And my announcement was, if you want some tips, please come to church because it's going to be fascinating.

And I love preaching and teaching about this book.

For some reason, this is...

This is one of the subjects that is least preached at churches.

I don't know about you, but growing up, talking about sex was not the thing.

I mean, parents wouldn't touch the subject with their children.

Even in Christian circles, this was something that was ignored totally or at best stigmatized.

most often.

You see, we are nowadays in the first part of the 21st century, and I've spoken to godly men, you know, in other parts of the world as well, that they were taught that sex was evil, that you had to suffer sex in order to have children.

I remember in one of the marriage conferences that my wife and I gave in Cuba, this pastor came to me and he said, you know, I've been married for 10 years and I've never seen my wife's naked body because I was told that intimacy needed to happen at night, in the dark and under the sheets.

Now, some of us learn about sex from our buddies in school who would brag about it and would share their own perspective about things.

Others from movies or TV or access to pornography, which is at the reach of everybody's cell phone.

And kids cannot unsee what they have saw, nor can adults.

So...

When you pause and think about how important is sex in our world, you'll notice that it's all over the place.

I mean, movies are plagued with sex themes, the music, the arts, the same.

There are workplaces that are so loaded with sexuality that co-workers are always flirting with each other or they're dressing in a provocative way, both men and women.

And whenever you see power and success, there's an element of sexuality.

Whenever you see crime and drugs, there's an element of sexuality.

Human trafficking, serial killers, there's an element of sexuality almost always.

So why is it so important that from the beginning of time, one of God's greatest gifts has been so misused and abused? Well, this morning, we're going to talk about this book that got inspired in the Bible, and it's devoted to what right intimacy looks like in the boundaries of marriage and how we can have a godly perspective on this amazing gift that God has given us to enjoy with our lifelong spouse.

but there's much more to it than physical dimension, and we're gonna talk about that as well.

But for now, let me just pray and ask for the Lord's help, and then we'll read the text together.
