So this morning, as we conclude our three-part series called Forward, we end with moving forward on a mission.
And a question I have for us today, are we all in? Is the mission crystal clear? And are we 100% committed to it together? Even though here in this room, we're all vastly different people.
Just like the first responders, some were police, some were paramedics, some were firefighters.
It didn't matter.
They were on the same mission in that moment as they are every day.
And so are we all in just like they are? And our series talks about, we've been talking about our individual spiritual growth.
That was week one.
which fuels a vibrant, united community that is week two.
So first we move forward personally as we walk a discipleship pathway ourselves.
We look inward, challenge ourselves to identify a next step of growth.
And then we move forward together as a family, as we contribute to a counter-cultural family in a world that desperately needs family.
As we explore what it means to move just from, you know, spectating on the sidelines, just attending church to active contribution to the mission that God has for us.
And then today we're going to talk about a community that sparks a movement that impacts the world.
We turn our eyes outward to fulfill our discipleship making purpose.
And that is to live as a church who makes disciples.
And so these three sermons, they build on each other.
And so a question I have for you is what is your next step in the process? What is your next step? What is our next step as a church? How will we invest as a family in moving forward for everything that God has for us? We're to grow as disciples and, We're to contribute what makes the church a family and a counter-cultural movement, and then embrace spending our lives and spending our resources on our Jesus ordained commission to make disciples.
So we introduced to you a couple of different pathways.
which take us from being introduced to even the family of faith, let alone the gospel through some maybe low barrier event or attending a service on a Sunday, all the way to like discovering who Jesus is and what is this church all about to following him, to being baptized, becoming rooted in community through maybe a life group or serving, giving wholeheartedly, learning more about God's word in a life group or the school of ministry or, freedom session.
It's a shameless plug for a ministry that I love.
It's near to my heart.
I oversee it at our church to being in a place where we can lead.
