The Truman Show, as you might guess from the name, follows Truman Burbank, played by Jim Carrey, who is a man who has been an experiment his whole life, an experiment in reality television.
He was born to be a reality TV star, and since birth all the way up until now, he's well into adulthood now.
and married.
He's been the subject, unwittingly, of a reality TV show where everyone else is a paid actor.
He has a wife, Meryl Burbank, played by Hannah Gill, who is the actress in the movie, who is played by, in real life, Laura Linney.
Angela Montclair is their name.
And then Kristoff is the mastermind creator, played by Ed Harris, who conceived of this whole idea and has been the guiding force and is this uh, uh, all seeing director, uh, kind of pulling the strings, uh, behind the scenes.
Um, also give a shout out to Paul Giamatti who plays Simeon, who is, I think the assistant director, if I had to give him a title, I don't know if they said in the movie, uh, but yeah, essentially following Truman, but he's starting to catch on and, uh, he doesn't know quite what's happening, but he knows he wants to go away from this town.
And that's a bit of a problem for the production when he's stuck in a dome,
