In this sermon on Revelation 20, we explore the binding of Satan, the millennium, the final judgment, and the hope of a new creation where chaos is finally and forever removed. Revelation unveils the spiritual reality behind our world: Satan deceives, accuses, and tempts, but Christ has triumphed through His death, resurrection, and ascension. Revelation 20 shows that the devil is defeated but not yet destroyed, bound yet still active, limited by God while the church advances in worship and mission. In the present age between the first and second coming of Jesus, God’s people overcome by staying faithful to the Lamb, clinging to the truth of God’s Word, and walking closely with Christ. Chaos shows up wherever God’s rule is resisted, but the way of Jesus leads to life, order, beauty, and flourishing. The church is called to endure, to resist deception, to live in community, and to advance the kingdom of God until the day when every enemy—including death and Hades—is thrown down forever.
