Amen? I want to call back for a moment to Acts chapter 2, sort of the anchor, if you will, for where we've been and where we're going.

There's this moment after the disciples are filled in the upper room and Peter begins to proclaim, they begin to leak out on the streets and they're speaking in other languages and the people are perplexed, think they're drunk.

And he's declaring with such boldness and they are convicted to the heart and they say to him, what must we do to be saved? And he gives them this sort of three-stranded cord, if you were, this three-step process.

And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread and in prayer.

Following this upper room encounter in this miraculous evangelistic moment, Peter and John in chapter three, they are headed, it says, to the temple at the hour of prayer.

They are dripping wet, if you will, with the spirit of God, with new found boldness to proclaim the truth.

And they see a man outside this temple at the gate called Beautiful, a man who's been lame since birth, begging.
