Bri ReineckeGuest
Tiffany GambleGuestSo the topic that we thought we'd bounce around with today is willpower.
We were talking about this a little bit with the 28 day challenge you've got going on.
But willpower, I think a lot of people misunderstand it.
They get it wrong.
So I thought it'd be kind of neat to start off with what do you guys think people think willpower is? Yeah.
How do you think they think about it? What do you see in your clients and maybe your past selves? I certainly have thoughts about that.
I

think my first thought was like, I don't know if this makes sense, but like when you're in the gym and you're about to do a really heavy set and you're like, you have to give it your all, your mental energy, your emotional energy, your physical energy.

Every time they need to do something, they're like, need to flex willpower for.
to do it.
Yeah.
Yeah.
The first word that comes to my mind or phrase that comes to my mind is white knuckling it.
You just got to bear down.
You just got to hang on tight and white knuckle through it and resist those temptations.
Willpower, willpower, because it's all around.
Temptations are all around you and you're just going to have to fight the battle.
That's just what I always thought about it.
And then in turn, I would be like, well, I guess I just can't figure out how to get it because I keep stumbling.
So I must not have it.
Why do some people have such great willpower and I don't? And it was just a source of frustration.
And Iris, like you said, we're doing it wrong.
