I'd like to talk about electrolytes.
I've had this conversation with a couple of clients as of late.
We are coming off a heat wave where I am anyway and going right into another one, especially with the haze from all the forest fires going on up in Canada.

It is no fun where I am.
Like I went to the gym this morning and my eyes were burning and my throat was hurting and like smells like burnt hair outside.
And I'm in the Midwest, so I can only imagine what it's like closer to that.
That said, I would like to talk about electrolytes because I think that is one of the biggest fitness supplement scams, frankly, out there.
Their marketing is so slick, and it is definitely one of those things where they just, you need this, you need this in order to be healthy and properly hydrated.

One of our favorite names in this space nowadays, Stacey Sims, just put out another podcast episode where she's like, your water is not hydrating you anymore.
It's not enough just to drink water.
Right.
Now you need to buy electrolytes, which conveniently she sells.
So what's the deal with electrolytes, Coach Amy?

Well, I'm going to give you guys a little medical lesson because here's the thing.
Iris, like you said, the marketing for these is very slick.
In fact, I was just at the grocery store this morning and I passed by the Liquid IV little end cap.
And it's like the latest flavors, ring pop flavor with a little picture of the ring pop, right? Rainbow sorbet.
You know, it's very slick.
It's very enticing.
