That happened in New Orleans last weekend after a year and a half wait, 'cause remember, I've said it over and over on this show, that we were supposed to get WrestleMania in 2026, and then just out of nowhere WWE called an audible and said, "Nah, we're gonna go back to Vegas, but we'll give you Money in the Bank" that got changed three different times.
Remember, it was supposed to be in August of this year, then got pushed to Labor Day weekend, and then just out of the blue it got pushed to October.
Well, the show finally happened, and I'll be honest with you, I watched it.
Didn't watch it live.
I wa- I waited the next day 'cause I had a lot going on, busy with DJ-ing and homecoming stuff.
I thought the show was mid.
I mean, there were only five matches on the card.
But when SmackDown came to Lafayette, that was a good show.
Like, first live show in Lafayette since 2019.
They actually-- SmackDown was actually pretty decent.
But I thought Money in the Bank was kind of mid.
Uh, there were some things I loved about it, some things I didn't like about it.
Roman Reigns, LA Knight for the World Heavyweight Championship kicked off the show, which no disrespect to LA Knight, I had a feeling he was gonna lose to Roman Reigns either way.
I still have Roman going into next year's 'Mania as World Champion.
But the match delivered.
Like, even though it opened up the show, I thought this was the match of the night.
They put on an instant classic.
Uh, there were so many near falls.
I kept thinking, "Bro, what if LA Knight could pull the trigger and become World Heavyweight Champion finally?" That would at least make the damn IWC happy, 'cause they're never happy about anything.
But in old fashion, Roman retained his title, got the win, on his own by the way.
And we're gonna see what's next with Roman.
By the way, I didn't put this in the description.
Newest member, Carmelo Hayes, is joining OTM, Jaida Parker, and of course Royce Dawes.
I'm happy for this because Carmelo Hayes has been written off of television for quite a while on SmackDown.
