Chelsea Green would defend her title and would pick up the win.

Tiffany Stratton took the bullet for Chelsea during the match and got attacked by Lash Legend.

So Tiffany Stratton saves the day, and Chelsea retains her title.

It's clear this is going to lead to a feud between Chelsea and Tiffany down the line.

Gargano reminded Sami of their deal, that if Sami won the championship tonight, Gargano would get the very first title shot, which led me to think that Gargano was going to get himself involved in the title match, which we'll have to find out if he did later.

The WWE Women's Championship was on the line when Chelsea Green, cornered by Tiffany Stratton, defended against Nia Jax, cornered by Lash Legend.

Chelsea's first match since undergoing, well, first defense since winning the title.

Nia used her raw power to dominate Green for most of this match, but late into the match, Lash Legend tried to interfere for Jax.

Tiffany Stratton stepped in to yank Chelsea out of danger, causing Legend to accidentally strike Stratton.

Amid the outside chaos, Green took advantage and dropped Jax with the UnPrettier and secured the retention.

Um, Nick Aldis, he confirmed that Chelsea could wear that protective face mask, um, during her n- uh, title defense, uh, against Nia Jax.

And then of course Tiffany Stratton came and told her she wasn't gonna miss her first title defense, and more importantly, knew that Lash Legend would be lurking at ringside.

So Tiffany volunteered to be in Chelsea's corner for that match, which we'll get to later.

So not a whole lot there.

Tonight, though, she wasn't inter- interested in simply breaking Chelsea's face.

She wanted to end Chelsea's career.

[clears throat] Then Lash Legend a- addressed Tiffany Stratton and just said if she tried to get involved, Lash promised to break her ribs.

So there was that.

Yeah.

She eats the L on Nia Jax thanks, thanks to some help from her Lash Legend.

This is great storytelling because eventually it's gonna lead to Tiffany Stratton turning on Chelsea Green, saying, "I've stuck my neck out for you, and I just keep getting beat left and right.

You know what? You ain't even worth it.

It just does.

Because this is low-key, old-school levels of heel heat right here that I just really feel like just needs to be appreciated a lot more it really does so this was just a really cool contrast and then also i just want to say i love the way that lash legend looked lash legend is such a beautiful woman And she's so statuesque and gorgeous.

So anything that she wears, it just looks like she was poured into it.

And this red outfit she had on with the red boots was just everything.
