I have another solo episode for you, and I'm going to be pulling from a recent vacation that I had to talk about how we can be a tourist when we are attending our networking meetings, and I'm gonna make a lot of correlations between the vacation I just returned from and how we should think about our networking meetings.

This is gonna be very helpful for you when you find yourself a little bit intimidated walking into networking rooms.

You may be in the early stages of your business and someone has told you, "Go to a networking meeting," and the thought of that just terrifies you.

This episode is gonna help you so much when you're thinking about walking into a room full of people you don't know to talk about your business.

The very first episode of this podcast is all around being a tourist, and since it's such a good reminder for all of us, that's what we're gonna talk about in this episode again.

And now I have my wonderful vacation to South Dakota to kind of pull in to help you really think about being an explorer when you are stepping into these rooms to build relationships with people.

Now, once you become familiar in your networking rooms, there's a lot of strategies, and many of the episodes are all around these specific strategies on who you should be spending your time with, how you should be answering questions that create curiosity, uh, referrals and how to follow up with referrals, your pitch.

It's my belief that all of the strategies that is gonna help you stand out in the room and create curiosity and start to build those relationships can come after you're comfortable.

That's where everything starts, is you being comfortable, your nervous system being comfortable, you being excited and happy and calm when you step into these environments.

So I could tell you how to have a perfect pitch, and I could tell you how to answer your questions the right way, and, and you could learn all of these strategies.

If you're not comfortable walking into the room, and if your nervous system is firing at you, "Danger, danger, danger," then these strategies aren't gonna be as helpful to you as they would be if you're comfortable.

So this episode is, "Hey, let's get comfortable walking into the space." And if you already are comfortable, please share this episode with a friend who isn't as comfortable, and it's a great reminder for us.

I can find myself getting a little intimidated, and then I have to stop and say, "Wait a second.
